Carlos Boll Estate
We are honored to present this exclusive estate auction featuring the eclectic and extensive collection of the late Carlos Boll, a legendary figure in the New Orleans Punk and New Wave music scene. This auction celebrates the life and legacy of Carlos, a masterful and encyclopedic aficionado of art, music, film, and culture.
Carlos was a seminal figure in the late 1970s and early 1980s New Orleans music scene, known for his roles as a musician, curator, and producer. He was the resident godfather of Leisure Landing, the groundbreaking music store on Magazine Street. Carlos played with numerous influential bands including The Skinnies, The Swinging Millionaires, The Driveways, and The Front. His collaborations and productions, such as the compilation album No Experience Necessary, have left an indelible mark on the New Orleans punk rock genre.
After moving to New York City in 1987, Carlos continued his creative endeavors in music, art, and design, working with notable organizations like Microsoft and United Media.
